Your jewelry is prone to deformation when it comes into contact with chemical-containing products such as perfume, hair spray, make-up, acetone, body oils and deodorant. Long-term exposure to sunlight may cause the shine of the stones used in your jewelry to decrease and fall off.

Always store your jewelry separately, preferably in a soft-lined box or pouch; so they don't rub against each other, scratch or tangle. Particular care should be taken with precious stones to ensure that they do not knock against each other when stored. Also, remember to place your chains carefully so they don't get tangled.

Be careful to avoid excessive moisture or heat as this can cause darkening. Your jewelry should be stored in a dark, cool and dry place. Over time and wear, sterling silver will naturally oxidize and eventually tarnish. Storing silver jewelry in a sealed plastic bag or airtight box when not in use will keep out air, which causes oxidation.
